This course is the perfect introduction or refresher for anyone going afloat on inshore waters, and a stepping stone to the more in-depth Day skipper shorebased course.
This course is an indroduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, every boat handling and the use of saftey equipment.
It can either be taken as a stand-alone course or integrated into the two-day Level two course.
Minimum age: 8 (Candidates under 16 will be issued with a endorsed certificate)
This course contains:
* Launch and recovery (8 - 11 Year olds to observe)
* Preparation of boat and crew
* Boat handling
* Picking up and securing to a mooring buoy
* Leaving and coming alongside
* Being towed
After this course, you will be able to: drive under supervision.
