First aid training course
In a medical emergency a little First aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. This one-day or two evenings course is designed to provide a working knowledge of First aid for people using small craft and to support Skippers.
It fulfils the requirements for:
* Professional Skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven, including Boatmasters;
* The Senior First aid certificate needed by offshore racers subject to ISAF's regulations on First aid training (OSR 4.08.4).
The course is recommended by the MCA and HSE.

Cruising Instructors (CI) are able to teach up to the level of the Day skipper practical course through an RYA recognised training centre. The course can be taken in either sail or motor cruisers, and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.
Eligibility
Prior to the course candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
* Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence;
* First aid certificate,*
* Commercial endorsement;
* Basic sea survival certificates;
* Medical fitness examination (ML5, ENG1 or medical issued by a National Maritime Authority)
